Why is it beneficial to complete a residential main sewer scope before purchasing a new home?:
A main sewer scope will help show the shape of a main sewer line and determine if there are any tree roots, sags, and/or displacement of pipe in the line. It will determine if the line has good flow, or any build up in there such as grease, food and debris. Following a video inspection, we can provide recommendations moving forward, such as yearly preventative maintenance of tree roots etc
Do I have to replace my main sewer line if I have tree roots?:
No, if the main sewer is in good shape, with no cracks, sags and/or displaced pipe joints, tree roots are easily maintainable with a yearly cleaning and video inspection to control and monitor the root growth in your residential main sewer line
Why should we camera the line as well as clean?:
Main sewer camera inspections ensures nothing was missed in the sewer line cleaning, such as tree roots, grease or debris stuck in the line
Videos also show the shape of the line, any sags, displacements, and/or tree root growth to provide a full picture of your main sewer line
If you have tree roots in the line, we recommend a follow up camera and auger service in approximately 1 year to determine if the roots have grown back, how much and if so, complete an maintenance to clear the roots away

He inspected the sewer and proceeded to augur out the tree roots which were obstructing my sewer and on the second inspection everything was clear and clean. He was very professional and the bill came in at the quoted price.
